Seekonk Christian Academy

Statement of Faith:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authorative Word of God. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God te Father; God the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ and in his virgin birth, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years. We believe in the Blessed Hope which is the rapture of the Church at Christ's coming.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation. We believe in water baptism, as well as baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4. We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

Foundations of Our Education:

We believe education is either based on the principles of the world, or on the principles of Christ. The principles taught must be brought into harmony with the Word of God to have true Christian education. Therefore:

I. The teachers must be Christ-centered in their hearts and actions.

II. The academic lessons, themselves, must be based on the rudiments of Christ.

III. The methods of teaching must be an expression of, and consistent with, a Biblical philosophy of education.
